Bring your own model

Use your own OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or OpenAI-compatible model.

With the Bring your own model plan, Acenta runs the box and you connect the model provider you already use. Your provider bills model usage directly.

Set it up

• When you launch the agent, choose Bring your own model.
• Pick OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter, or enter the base URL of any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
• Enter the model name and your API key. Acenta checks the key before saving it.

You can change the endpoint, model or key later from the agent’s page; the change applies to the next request.

How your key is protected

• The key is encrypted and stored on Acenta’s management service. It is never placed inside the box.
• The agent sends model requests through Acenta, which adds your key and forwards them to your provider.
• Endpoints must be public HTTPS addresses.
